CHRISTEN INDUSTRIES HISTORY
For 5 decades, Eagles have been taking to the skies, built by the hands of dedicated and passionate enthusiasts. We are proud to continue the legacy that Frank began all those years ago. We look forward to working with dedicated fans and pilots to build a brighter future for the Eagle community.

Frank L. Christensen created Christen Industries in 1972 in Hollister, California.
1977: Christen Eagle II Introduced
The Christen Eagle II is introduced at the EAA AirVenture OshKosh in 1977.
The two-place aerobatic biplane powered by a 200 hp Lycoming became available as a kit-built aircraft setting the “gold standard” for homebuilt kits well into the future.
1979: Flight Team Takes to the Skies
The Eagles Aerobatic Flight Team formed with pilots Charlie Hillard, Tom Poberezny, and Gene Soucy.
The legendary team performed with their Eagles for almost 20 years, including airshow events at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. All 3 show planes are on display at the EAA Museum.
1979 : A YOUNG CHILD IS INSPIRED
At eight years old, future Christen Industries owner, Chuck Therriault, attends his first EAA AirVenture OshKosh show with his father - sparking a love of the Eagles that would carry into adulthood.

2025: Christen Industries Revived
In early 2025, Chuck Therriault formed Christen Industries - with the approval of Frank L. Christensen for use of the name.
In summer of 2025, Christen Industries purchased the rights to the Christen Eagle II from Aviat Aircraft with both the intention of bringing a renewed dedication to Eagle II kit production and an interest in adding mods and products to carry the Eagle into the future.
